Trojan pages on internet banking

Whenever Members are using their internet banking, they must always be wary of ‘Trojans’. These are pages that seem to be a normal part of your account or log-in, but have the ability to steal your important details, such as passwords and credit card numbers.

A good way to spot these are by looking for things in your internet banking that look odd or out of place. This can include;

- Additional information fields

- Altered page design

- Even a different URL

Dnister will always notify members if there are any major changes to your internet banking. Should you notice anything that looks odd or out of place, please contact us immediately.

Internet banking notification - Hoax emails

Recently there have been a number of unauthorised attempts via bogus email to target Financial Institutions including NetTeller sites. These emails attempt to trick you into providing personal information such as member number, internet banking password, card details or telephone banking password.

There are also other emails from senders unknown to you. These emails may contain links and or attachments that may download and install malicious software onto your computer.

Do not click on any links, do not open any attachments and do not enter any personal information.

Dnister does not and will never request the disclosure of any personal security details such as your PIN, Internet Banking Passwords, Credit Card details or require you to click on links or attachments within the email to update or verify details.

If you receive a suspicious email please contact us immediately on
