Lending Operations Assistant

Based in Essendon VIC | Casual position with prospect of permanent placement

Reporting to the Lending Operations Administrator, the successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the effective and efficient delivery of Lending Operational activities. You will support our Business Development Team to achieve their business objectives, ensuring that the loan portfolio is administered in accordance with all Policy, compliance and procedural requirements.  You are a team player and passionate about providing exceptional customer service in an achievement-based culture.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

 

  • Completing Lending Operations activities to support the Business Development Team achieve their business objectives.
  • Assisting to ensure that the loan portfolio is processed and administered in accordance with all Policy, compliance and procedural requirements.
  • Assisting to ensure that loans Originated/Offered and Shared syndicated loans are processed and administered in accordance with all Policy, compliance and procedural requirements.
  • Assisting to ensure that loans documentation is maintained in accordance with Policy, procedural and regulatory requirements.
  • Assisting with the completion of Member Services activities to ensure that sales and service delivery objectives are achieved.
  • Supporting the achievement of targets for business growth objectives including product sales and membership growth.
  • Supporting the achievement of targets for delinquency objectives to ensure that loan book quality is maintained.
  • Assisting with the development of a balanced sales and risk management culture across all areas of the Co-operative.
  • Complying with the Co-operative’s Risk Management Framework through its Policies and procedures and ensuring that any compliance breach is notified to the Chief Risk Officer

Essential skills include:

  • Understanding of consumer and commercial lending.
  • Preparation of loan contracts, documents & forms.
  • Preparation of security documentation instructions.
  • Preparation of settlement instructions.
  • Completion of loans administration activities.
  • Completion of loans systems & maintenance activities.
  • Cash handling and management skills.
  • Open new memberships & accounts.
