As you\u2019re probably aware, there\u2019s recently been an increase in the number of data breaches in Australia and it is important for all our members to be aware of cyber risks and best practice to also protect your valuable funds.<\/p>\n

Protecting our Member\u2019s personal information and transaction details is critical and we invest significantly in maintaining high levels of security for our members. It is also however very important that our members also have an awareness of how they can ensure that their personal information and data is protected.<\/p>\n

In line with best practises and APRA security standards we continue to adopt and monitor our systems and will continue to increase the level of our usual transactional monitoring and surveillance through our security partner Orion and banking system providers. Outside of regulatory security requirements, these also include real-time transaction monitoring and 24\/7\/365 fraud tracking solutions, to keep your funds and personal information safe.<\/p>\n

We will continue to implement available controls to safeguard your details and we encourage you, regardless of your telecommunications provider to remain vigilant. Here are some simple ways you can protect your personal details:<\/p>\n

  • Secure your devices and regularly monitor your bank accounts. Contact us immediately if something looks suspicious<\/li>\n
  • Never share your personal or financial information, passwords or banking codes, especially to anyone who contacts you by phone or SMS.<\/li>\n
  • Change your online banking passwords regularly<\/li>\n
  • Reduce your online transaction limits<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
